Business and Marine Law Lawyer Joanna Dawson joins McMillan’s Vancouver Office

We are happy to announce that Joanna Dawson, an experienced business and marine lawyer, will be joining McMillan’s Business Law Group as a senior associate on June 5, 2017.  Joanna will be working out of the Vancouver office.

Joanna received her law degree from UBC and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2012.  She started her career practicing corporate/commercial and securities law at Miller Thomson, then moved to Bernard LLP where she further developed her corporate/commercial skills and gained expertise in maritime law.  Most recently, she practiced corporate/commercial and securities law at DuMoulin Black LLP.   She will be continuing her professional development and servicing her marine industry clients in McMillan’s Business and Transportation Groups.  Joanna currently serves as the Vice President (Western) of the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA).
