Becky is a member of the business law group in McMillan’s Vancouver office. Her practice focuses on advising companies on a wide variety of corporate/commercial matters. Becky has extensive experience with preparation of agreements and also regularly assists clients with corporate governance, regulatory compliance, policy development, precedent creation, amalgamations, acquisitions, and reorganizations and restructurings.

As part of her regulatory practice, Becky has gained experience in a variety of sectors, including food, beverage, and forestry. She has also helped clients navigate liquor licensing, privacy, and consumer protection issues in British Columbia.

Becky summered with McMillan in 2013, subsequently returning for her articles in 2014. She graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at UBC in 2014 and was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2015.

Becky Rock has been involved in the following representative transactions:

  • Acted as Canadian counsel to West Fraser in respect of its approximately US$430 million acquisition of six sawmills and a finger-joint mill from the Howard Gilman Foundation and other shareholders
  • Acted for Bit Stew Systems Inc. in respect of its US$153 million acquisition by GE Digital, a division of General Electric
  • Acted for Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation in respect of its approximately CAD$13.3 million acquisition of ASW Steel Inc.
  • Acted for Great Canadian Gaming Corporation in respect of its CAD$51.3 million acquisition of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation's Gaming Bundle 2 (East)
  • Acted for Plentyoffish Media Inc. in respect of its US$575 million sale to The Match.com Group
