Kritika is an Associate in McMillan’s Advocacy and Employment Group. She is building a general practice, and she particularly enjoys assisting clients through liability, insolvency and employment litigation.

Kritika has represented clients and assisted senior counsel in matters before all levels of court in Alberta including the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench, and the Alberta Court of Appeal. She also has experience with alternative dispute resolution and settling disputes outside of court.

Kritika serves as the Vice-President of the western chapter of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers and chairs the Board Governance and Development Committee. In addition, she also volunteers as a mentor with the Diversity and Law Society at University of Calgary’s law school.

After summering and before articling with McMillan, Kritika completed her J.D. at the University of Alberta. While in law school, she was involved in Student Legal Services, national moots, Law Show and various student groups. She served as an executive on the Mental Health and Wellness Committee, the Women’s Law Forum, and OutLaw. Kritika was part of the winning team at the 2018 Gale Cup and was awarded a factum prize at the 2019 Wilson Moot.

Prior to law school, Kritika received her Bachelor of Health Sciences from the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary. During her undergraduate studies, Kritika was a peer helper with the Leaders Program, performed with a Bhangra Dance Group and chaired the events committee at the University of Calgary Women’s Resource Centre.
