Lindsay Lorimer and Anna Tombs write chapter on expert evidence in Annual Review of Civil Litigation 2015

Lindsay Lorimer and Anna Tombs, members of McMillan’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group, wrote and contributed a chapter to the recently published Annual Review of Civil Litigation 2015.

In their chapter titled “Development of the Law of Expert Evidence”, Lindsay and Anna write about the evolving duties of experts in both civil and criminal contexts. The chapter summarizes the current case law of expert evidence while also identifying areas that remain uncertain and require further judicial clarification. The chapter is designed to assist both litigators and clients alike on how to best work with expert evidence.

As noted by the Honourable Justice Todd L. Archibald, “this paper is an essential read for all civil litigators”.

The Annual Review of Civil Litigation is a book that provides a comprehensive guide for civil litigators. The 2015 edition aims to assist in the understanding of new developments in Canadian law and how these changes affect the litigation practice.
