McMillan LLP is pleased to partner with Bloomberg, the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA) , and the Canadian Bar Association's (CBA) National Competition Law Section, to co-host the upcoming NYSBA Antitrust Section Annual Summer Merger Program, taking place at Bloomberg's New York City headquarters on Wednesday July 8, 2015 from 6pm-8:30pm EST. McMillan will host a satellite reception with live video streaming of the program at its Toronto offices located at 181 Bay Street, Suite 4400.

The program will consist of a timely discussion by senior competition enforcers from the U.S., EU, and Canada on the topics of merger remedies, merger retrospectives, and multi-jurisdictional coordination of merger remedies.

Moderated by leading antitrust practitioner and Wachtell Lipton Rosen & Katz partner Ilene Knable Gotts, the distinguished faculty for this panel discussion are:
  • Patricia Brink, Director of Civil Enforcement, U.S. Department of Justice (Antitrust Division)
  • Julia Brockhoff, Deputy Head of Unit, European Commission Unit A-2 (Merger Case Support and Policy)
  • Naomi Licker, Attorney, U.S. Federal Trade Commission Compliance Section
  • Ann Wallwork, Senior Deputy Commissioner, Mergers Branch, Canadian Competition Bureau

McMillan is proud to co-host this event. Our Competition/Antitrust practice group is a longstanding supporter of the CBA's National Competition Law Section, with four practitioners (Neil Campbell, Casey Halladay, Jun Chao Meng and Guy Pinsonnault) currently serving in the Section leadership, and numerous others (including former Chair, James Musgrove) having previously served.
