On July 13, Port Metro Vancouver announced that it had strengthened its project and environmental review process (see here). McMillan's Robin Junger (former head of the BC Environmental Assessment Office) acted as an independent consultant to Port Metro Vancouver, Canada's largest gateway and most diversified port. McMillan (in concert with Kirk & Co.) made 23 recommendations for improvement (see report here), following stakeholder feedback and an evaluation of the existing processes. All recommendations have been accepted.

Port Metro Vancouver is Canada's largest port and the third largest tonnage port in North America, responsible for Canada's trade with more than 160 world economies.
