Patrick joined the firm in 2005. He is a member of the firm's Commercial Litigation Group. The focus of his practice is Construction Litigation with an emphasis on complex multifaceted and high profile claims which requires a significant level of expertise and competent management skills. Patrick regularly acts for local, national and international owners and developers, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, designers and planners.
His experience includes dealing with all manner of construction disputes including lien claims, extras, delay claims and acceleration, negligence, and breach of trust claims. In the area of public-private partnerships (P3s) and engineering-procurement-construction contracts (PSIs), he has helped stakeholders successfully resolve disputes over construction delays, increase costs due to changes in site condition and changes in design.
Patrick has appeared at various levels of courts and arbitral tribunals in many Canadian provinces and practices in both official languages.
