Sherif Abdel-kader is a patent agent and member of the Intellectual Property Group in the Toronto office. With a practice focused on the drafting and prosecution of patent applications, Sherif assists inventors in development of their patent portfolios. Sherif also conducts validity and infringement searches and analysis, as well as patent due diligence.

In addition to 15 years’ experience in software, embedded systems and wireless protocol development, Sherif’s background includes five years in patent portfolio management and development with a leading smartphone manufacturer.

An inventor himself, Sherif has registered more than 35 patents in the U.S., Canada and other jurisdictions. He holds a Master of Applied Science in Computer Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
