Simon is a member of the Litigation Group in the firm’s Montréal office. He is building a practice focusing on commercial and civil litigation, including product liability, insurance, and competition matters. He joined the firm in 2017 as a summer student and completed his articles with the firm in 2018. 

Simon received dual common and civil law degrees from McGill University. During his studies, Simon completed a semester in European law at Sciences Po in Paris. Simon received the Madam Justice Carol Cohen prize for best essay for his research paper comparing class actions under Québec law to those in other provinces. Simon also took an interest in advocacy, receiving an award at the 2017 Pierre-Basile Mignault pleading competition. He regularly advocated for McGill students before the Students’ Society of McGill University (SSMU), helped students file petitions at the SSMU’s Judicial Board, and represented them in disputes with their student councils.

Simon has appeared before all levels of Quebec courts, including the Court of Quebec, Superior Court, and Court of Appeal; he has also worked on matters before the Supreme Court of Canada. Simon has also represented clients before administrative tribunals, including the Québec Commission for Access to Information and the Autorité des marchés financiers.
