I am excited to return to McMillan as an Articling Student. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at McMillan during the summer of 2018 and I look forward to making an impact during my articling term.

In the fall of 2018, I had the opportunity to go on exchange. I studied at the Universidad Torcuato di Tella in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where I was enrolled in the Master of Laws and Economics program for a semester.

I am a mentor and member of the Black Law Students’ Association of Canada as well as a JD/MBA Ambassador at the University of Toronto. I was previously an Associate Editor with the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review. I also volunteered with the Downtown Legal Services Refugee and Immigration Division. During 1L, I was selected to compete in the Baby Gale Moot, and I also participated in the Trial Advocacy program. At the Rotman School of Management, my team competed in the RBC Capital Markets Case Competition.

Prior to law school, I attained an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science with distinction in the Justice Studies program at the University of Guelph-Humber, specializing in Law and Security Administration. I was the recipient of the Vice-Provost Award for Academic Excellence, awarded to the student graduating with the highest cumulative average in the program. After graduation and during my first year of legal studies, I worked as a Student Border Services Officer with Canada Border Services Agency.

I have a strong interest in learning languages. I am fluent in Spanish and I am currently learning French. I also love to write and one day hope to become a published author.
