I am thrilled to be returning to the McMillan team as an articling student after summering with the firm in 2018.

I obtained my J.D. from the English Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa. During my legal studies, I worked as a first-year editor at the Ottawa Law Review and participated in the Nelligan O’Brien Payne Moot Court Competition. Prior to law school, I obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from Ryerson University, with Minors in Law and Psychology. While at Ryerson, I worked as a senior editor for the Ryerson University Undergraduate Criminology Review, volunteered at Ryerson’s Business Law Clinic and was a finalist in the Ryerson University Moot Court Competition.

I have also worked in many industries outside the field of law. Most recently, I worked in the banking industry at a prominent credit union. During this time, I also volunteered as the head coach of a minor-league hockey team in the North York Hockey League. Prior to this, I spent six months training and completing selection for an elite army unit as a combat soldier.

In my personal time I try to get outdoors and stay active by running, cycling, swimming, hiking and playing hockey. In July, I completed an Ironman triathlon, a race that encompasses a 3.86km swim, 180.25km bike ride and 42.2km run. I also love to travel, and most recently explored Austria and Spain.
