AmerCareRoyal, LLC Acquiers McNairn Packaging

On November 25, 2019, AmerCareRoyal, LLC (“ACR”) announced its acquisition of McNairn Packaging, a leading provider and manufacturer of speciality paper packaging products to the foodservices industry in the North American market.

The acquisition of McNairn Packaging provides ACR with benefits on multiple levels. In addition to obtaining industry-leading presence in a large market, ACR will also increase channel exposure and enhance its product diversity.

ACR is a US-based portfolio company of HCI Equity engaged in manufacturing and distributing disposable products used in the food service, janitorial, sanitation, industrial, hospitality and medical industries

The transaction involved a distinctive environmental aspect. The target’s business involved the use of chemicals regulated in certain markets but not in others in some of the consumer food packaging products. The transaction also included shared land remediation obligations in relation to rarely-found naturally-occurring contamination.
