Big win for Tenaris Canada in Canadian International Trade Tribunal injury inquiry

The Canadian International Trade Tribunal found a threat of injury to Canadian production caused by the dumping of Oil Country Tubular Goods (OCTG) originating or exported from Chinese Taipei, the Republic of India, the Republic of Indonesia, the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, the Kingdom of Thailand, the Republic of Turkey, Ukraine and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam – McMillan LLP represented Tenaris Canada in the Canadian International Trade Tribunal injury inquiry. The finding will result in anti-dumping protection for up to five years against imports of OCTG from the named countries. The Canadian OCTG market is worth approximately $2 Billion annually. Other Canadian producers included Evraz Canada represented by Cassidy Levy Kent, and Energex represented by Larry Herman (April 2015).
