Groupe EPC wins competitive bidding war to acquire Nordex Explosives

On August 19, 2016, Groupe EPC, a French public company listed on the NYSE Euronext Paris, acquired Kirkland Lake-based Nordex Explosives Ltd., a TSX-listed company that manufactures and distributes explosives to the mining, quarry and construction industries. The acquisition follows months of a full-scale bidding war for control of Nordex in which Groupe EPC was the successful bidder.
