McMillan Advises Calabrio, Inc. in its Acquisition of Wysdom AI

On January 9, 2023, Calabrio, Inc. (“Calabrio”) announced its acquisition of Crowdcare Corporation dba Wysdom AI (“Wysdom”). As reported by Calabrio, the acquisition will accelerate Calabrio’s strategy to help customers leverage artificial intelligence (“AI”) and machine learning (“ML”) to maximize agent engagement, productivity, and return on investment (“ROI”).

Based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Calabrio is a leading cloud provider of contact center workforce engagement management software globally, empowering organizations to engage more meaningfully with customers.

Wysdom is a Toronto-based leading expert in AI, machine-learning and virtual agent performance solutions. Wysdom’s flagship chatbot analytics software, the Wysdom Operations Center, helps chatbot operators at leading international brands manage and improve the performance of their virtual agents.

McMillan acted as Canadian counsel to Calabrio in connection with this cross-border transaction, including with respect to relevant privacy and data protection matters.
