McMillan Advises Calian Group Through Its First Competition Bureau Review

In December 2023, Ottawa-based Calian Group Ltd. (“Calian”) (TSX: CGY), one of Canada’s leading information technology consulting firms, acquired rival Decisive Group Inc. for $75 million.

The acquisition enabled Calian to broaden its customer base and round out its IT infrastructure and cybersecurity offerings in North America. This was the company’s first Competition Bureau review. McMillan collaborated closely with Calian’s corporate counsel to secure clearance under the Competition Act.
