MeadWestvaco Corp. secures regulatory clearance on $16B merger with Rock-Tenn Co.

MeadWestvaco Corp. secured Canadian government regulatory clearance on its planned $16 billion merger with Rock-Tenn Co. under the Competition Act.

McMillan LLP represented MeadWestvaco on the matter, with a team comprised of Mark Opashinov and Josh Chad.The deal, announced on January 26, 2015, will create a leading global provider of consumer and corrugated packaging.
