Marble, columns and stairs
Nov 8, 2022

On November 8, 2022, Infrastructure Ontario and Metrolinx reached Financial Close on a $6 billion fixed-price contract with Ontario Transit Group, a consortium comprised of Ferrovial Construction Canada Inc. and VINCI Construction Grands Projets, to design, build and finance the Ontario Line Southern Civil, Stations and Tunnel (South Civil) Project.

The South Civil Project is one of many contracts to deliver the Ontario Line, a 15.6 Kilometer stand-alone rapid transit line. The Project, which will include the design, build, finance contract for the southern portion of the Ontario Line, will bring 15 new stations to the city and will run from Exhibition/Ontario Place to the Don Yard portal (west of the Don River in Toronto). There will be connections to existing transit networks such as the TTC’s Line 1 and Line 2, three GO Transit rail lines, and the Eglinton Crosstown LRT.
