On March 4, 2013 Vitran Corporation Inc., a publicly traded North American transportation company, completed the sale of its Supply Chain Operation (SCO) business to LEGACY Supply Chain based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire for U.S. $97 million in cash. In the transaction LEGACY Supply Chain acquired various Vitran Canadian and U.S. subsidiaries carrying on the SCO business. The SCO business operates as a North American third-party supply chain provider specializing in complex, high-velocity logistics networks servicing leading North American Retailers. The acquisition greatly expands LEGACY Supply Chain’s market share in the United States and Canada.
