Commercial Real Estate Lawyer Scott Martyn Joins McMillan’s Toronto office

We are pleased to announce that Scott Martyn will be joining the firm’s Commercial Real Estate Group, effective February 1, 2017.

Scott will be working in our Toronto office.

Scott comes to McMillan from an international law firm. He will continue to focus his practice on commercial real estate law and infrastructure and P3. Scott has worked on several high profile infrastructure projects in the Greater Toronto Area and Southern Ontario.  These projects have included major revitalization and construction initiatives that have involved a wide range of sectors including public, energy, health care, transit, housing and aviation.

Scott’s real estate practice includes the development, acquisition and disposition of retail, office, multi-residential and industrial properties and portfolios, financings, refinancings, restructurings, land transfer tax, mortgage enforcement and commercial leasing. He represents developers of commercial, residential and multi-residential properties, home builders and national and international financial institutions. His experience expands to municipal law, land use planning and environmental and expropriation law.

Scott was called to the Ontario Bar in 1992. He received his LLB from Dalhousie University in 1990.  In 2002, he received his Master of Laws (LLM) degree from York University.
