McMillan associate, Lance Bredeson to represent Canada at international triathlon in France

News May 23, 2013
Lance Bredeson, an associate in McMillan’s Vancouver office, and a member of the firm’s Capital Markets Group, is working on a different type of transaction this coming June. He has qualified to represent Canada in the 2013 International Triathlon Union Long Distance World Championships in the 35-39 age category.

The triathlon will take place on June 1st in Belfort, France. Lance qualified by placing second in his age category at the 2012 Vancouver Half Iron triathlon.

Lance began training back in October 2012 and generally trains twice a day for 6 days during the week, beginning at 5am. Lance is proud to be representing Canada at this elite competition. “We received our opening ceremony and racing uniforms last week. It is kind of crazy to see your name printed across the maple leaf” said Lance. “I find triathlons and running events to be filled with a lot of positive energy and I anticipate this event, with all of the countries represented (there are representatives of 17 countries in Lance’s age group), will be the same.”

“I doubt I will ever get to do this again and I will try and do as well as I possibly can. Hopefully wearing the maple leaf will make me a little bit faster.”

Good luck Lance! McMillan will be there with you in spirit, supporting you all the way.
