McMillan Welcomes Christina Kobi and Team to the Commercial Leasing Group

McMillan LLP is pleased to welcome a four-person-strong commercial leasing team led by Christina Kobi, cementing our firm’s bench strength in advising clients in commercial real estate matters. The team’s move to McMillan underscores the firm’s continued commitment to growth and exceptional client service.

Christina will serve as the new lead of our Commercial Leasing Group. She is a nationally-recognized expert and leader in the world of commercial leasing. She brings 26 years of sector-specific experience to McMillan, having served as an adviser to tenants, domestic and international developers, landlords, and property managers in every Canadian province. Christina sits on the Commercial Real Estate Advisory Board of Practical Law Canada, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) Convention Planning Committee, and the Canadian ICSC Law Conference Planning Committee. She will chair the 2024 ICSC + Canadian Law Conference in April. Highly accomplished in her field, Christina is recognized in Best Lawyers in Canada and The Canadian Lexpert Directory as one of the leading property leasing lawyers in Canada.

Christina is joined by her team members, Partner Melodie Eng, Associate Alyssa Girardi, and Law Clerk Sarita Prasher. Melodie, Alyssa, and Sarita augment the depth of expertise of McMillan’s commercial leasing practice, with their combined experience in commercial leasing matters and advising a variety of clients including retail, landlords, tenants, and property developers. Fluent in Cantonese, Melodie is skilled in both cross-border and domestic deals, and also has particular talent in assisting retail tenants who are looking to implement an aggressive growth strategy.
