Lisa is a paralegal in McMillan’s Intellectual Property Group. She has over 20 years of experience in intellectual property and has gained a broad range of experience in IP boutique and national law firms. Lisa specializes in industrial design, patents and trademarks and assists lawyers, patent agents and trademark agents in various stages of industrial design, patent and trademark prosecution. Her responsibilities include preparing and filing industrial design, patent and trademark applications, monitoring and attending to deadlines, renewal and maintenance of domestic and foreign applications, managing and administering trademark and patent portfolios, assisting with contentious trademark matters, and conducting intellectual property due diligence searches for transactional work. Lisa also communicates directly with clients and foreign associates and acts as a liaison between the firm and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office and other intellectual property offices around the world.
