Spencer is developing a growing commercial real estate practice. He advises clients on a broad range of real estate matters including, acquisition, financing, leasing and development of real property.
Spencer joined McMillan as an associate after completing his articles with the firm. Prior to joining McMillan, Spencer competed in the Davies Corporate/Securities Moot and the Harold G. Fox Canadian Intellectual Property Moot. Spencer was also involved in the Digital Law and Innovation Society, Law and Business Association, Law Show, and the Golden Barristers Rugby Club.

On September 22, 2023, West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. (TSX and NYSE: WFG) (“West Fraser”) announced its agreement to sell it’s Quesnel River Pulp mill in Quesnel, British Columbia and its Slave Lake Pulp mill in Slave Lake, Alberta to Atlas Holdings (“Atlas”) for US$120 Million.
