Adam Slinn is a summer student at McMillan, having just completed his 2L year at Osgoode Hall Law School.
This year at Osgoode, Adam served as the executive of Osgoode’s Mature Students Association as a 2L rep. During his tenure he helped expand the club’s event calendar to include tips and tricks sessions for 1L mature students, as well as a networking event for current students and recent graduates to help bridge the gap between law school and practice. As part of the Osgoode Mediation Clinical program, Adam became a certified mediator and spent his 2L year volunteering with a community mediation organization. In this role he worked with parties in the Public Information Court to divert their peace bond applications through mediation.
Prior to attending law school Adam worked for seven years in broadcasting communications and publicity. After starting out heading up publicity efforts for live music and awards broadcasts, he transitioned to the streaming team where he handled Canadian media relations and publicity activities for some of the top prestige television brands. His innovative projects brought valuable media attention to his brands and earned him three workplace awards. Adam has a bachelor of applied arts in media studies from the University of Guelph and a diploma in media communications, with a specialty in public relations, from Humber College.
