Anna Holota is thrilled to return to McMillan as an articling student. She looks forward to the opportunity to continue to learn from and work alongside the lawyers at the firm.

Anna recently graduated from the Peter A. Allard School of Law (Allard) at the University of British Columbia. At Allard, she volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, assisting clients in both civil and criminal matters, and worked with the Allard Women’s Caucus to organize the Dress for Success Clothing Drive and Women in Law Event. Anna also served on the Finance Committee for the Law Students’ Society. During the summer after 1L, she worked as a summer student for a boutique litigation firm in Vancouver. During her studies, she was awarded the Rosina and Gabriel Iacobucci Prize in Family Law and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Prize in Succession.

Prior to law school, Anna completed a bachelor of arts at the University of British Columbia, majoring in International Relations and minoring in Law and Society. She was active on campus as the President of the Law and Society Chats Club where she motivated students to explore their passion for the law.

In her spare time, Anna enjoys walking the seawall, spin classes and exploring new restaurants in the city. You will find her hiking and kayaking in the summer, and skiing during the winter. She is an avid traveller and looks forward to her next trip.
