Claire Huang is a multi-jurisdictional business lawyer with experience in mergers and acquisitions, strategic and private equity investments, corporate finance and commercial arrangements. She acts for a broad range of clients, ranging from start-ups and venture-financed businesses to large, publicly traded corporations.

Claire regularly advises businesses in merger and acquisition, joint venture and financing transactions, private equity funds and their portfolio companies in investment, recapitalization and exit transactions, and technology-based businesses in relation to operational and transactional matters. In addition to her transactional practice, Claire is experienced in drafting and negotiating a broad range of complex commercial contracts including intellectual property and technology licensing agreements, research and development agreements, purchase and supply agreements, revenue sharing agreements, and other day-to-day business arrangements.

Prior to joining McMillan, Claire practiced in the area of M&A and capital markets law at a top-ranked U.S. firm in Shanghai, China and an international law firm in both Calgary and Vancouver, Canada.
