Fernanda Martins is building a practice as part of the Litigation & Dispute Resolution group. She previously completed her articling term at the firm.

Fernanda holds a Bachelor of Laws degree from Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo in Brazil. During her legal studies, she worked as a law student at renowned international law firms and at the Federal Court of Appeal. After graduation, she clerked for several years at Brazil’s Federal Court of Appeal, engaging in deliberations in appeal proceedings involving a wide range of civil and commercial disputes. Most notably, she took part in some of the first appeals dealing with gig workers’ recognition as employees.

Since moving to Canada, she received an LL.M degree from the University of Toronto and obtained her Certificate of Qualification from the Federation of Law Societies of Canada.
