Jennifer spent a decade practising civil litigation at McMillan LLP before taking several years off to raise her children. She has recently returned to the firm in the role of counsel, providing support to the Class Actions Practice Group. Her practice focuses on the defence of products liability claims in class proceedings involving many different types of consumer products. Jennifer has trial and motion experience, as well as significant discovery and mediation experience.
Before returning to McMillan LLP, Jennifer gained valuable work experience as in-house counsel at a leading insurance company and strengthened her litigation management skills in a variety of contract roles. Jennifer has particular expertise managing litigation on a nationwide basis for companies with a high volume of similar claims.
As an adjunct instructor at Queen’s Law School and Osgoode Hall, Jennifer has taught courses in alternative dispute resolution.
For the past several years, Jennifer has been a community leader with the Promise Campaign for St. Joseph’s Health Centre, raising funds to improve health care in Toronto’s west end communities.
Jennifer has also volunteered with Metro Mothers’ Network leading a support group for mothers in her Toronto neighbourhood.
