Jerry Zi

Jerry Zi Yi Huang is a results-driven lawyer developing a practice focused on financial services law. He advises on a wide range of complex financing transactions, including corporate finance, acquisition finance, debt issuances, real estate finance, project finance, equipment and aircraft finance, asset-based lending, and securitization.

Jerry regularly represents clients across the capital structure—including corporate borrowers, financial institutions, and private equity sponsors—providing legal counsel focused on delivering transaction-friendly solutions that advance their strategic and commercial objectives. His work includes drafting and negotiating credit agreements, indentures, note purchase agreements, intercreditor arrangements, legal opinions, and a range of security documents.

Recipient of the Lieutenant Governor of Québec’s Medal in 2017 for his community involvement, Jerry is deeply engaged in the Montreal legal community and the Chinese business community. During his studies, he completed several internships in international transactional law with both national and international law firms in Beijing, Chengdu, and Guangzhou, China.
