Kathleen Wang specializes in international trade law, focusing on trade remedies and federal regulatory matters. She advises both international and domestic clients in navigating Canada’s customs laws and trade controls, including trade verifications, export and import regulations and economic sanctions. Kathleen represents clients in anti-dumping and countervailing trade remedy cases before the Canada Border Services Agency and the Canadian International Trade Tribunal.

Additionally, Kathleen provides guidance on various regulatory matters and develops strategies to navigate supply chain compliance risks. She also assists businesses in designing and implementing anti-corruption, sanctions, forced labour and import/export compliance programs and conducts related internal investigations and audits.

Passionate about getting involved with various legal organizations, Kathleen is an active member of the Ontario Bar Association’s (OBA) International Law Section and the Canadian Association for Food Law and Policy. Moreover, she serves as vice president of the OBA International Law Section.

Kathleen holds a JD from the University of Ottawa, and prior to earning that degree she earned both an honours business administration and a bachelor of arts from the University of Western Ontario. She completed her articling at McMillan before beginning her law career at another Canadian law firm.

  • Acted for Scentsy Canada Enterprises in a Canadian International Trade Tribunal customs valuation appeal.
  • Acted for G-III Apparel Canada in a Canadian International Trade Tribunal customs valuable appeal.
