Kyle Smith is very excited to return to McMillan as an articling student after a rewarding summer student experience with the firm. Kyle looks forward to further developing his legal and professional skills at a firm with such a collaborative culture.
Kyle recently graduated from the Juris Doctor program at the University of British Columbia’s Peter A. Allard School of Law (Allard) with a concentration in business law. While attending Allard, Kyle had the pleasure of being involved in several extra-curricular activities. Kyle was a student clinician at the Allard Business Law Clinic, where he provided a broad range of legal services to small businesses, not-for-profits, and start-ups. Kyle volunteered with the Law Students’ Legal Advice Program, where he helped clients on Vancouver’s Downtown East Side resolve their legal matters. Kyle also acted as the VP External of the Allard Law Rugby Club.
Prior to law school, Kyle completed a Bachelor of Business Administration at Acadia University with a major in Finance, where he maintained Dean’s List status throughout his degree. Kyle also worked in various restaurant and senior line cooking positions over the course of eight summers.
Kyle spends most of his free time cooking new recipes and trying new wines to pair with them. Kyle also enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time with his two cats.
