I am thrilled to be joining McMillan’s Ottawa office as a summer student.
I recently completed my third year of a four-year dual-degree JD program at the University of Ottawa, Faculty of Law (Common Law Section) and American University, Washington College of Law. The highlights of my time in law school so far have been participating in American University’s 2021 Jessup Moot Court team and the University of Ottawa’s 2022 Jessup Moot Court team; staffing both American University Law Review and Ottawa Law Review; and assisting Dean Emeritus Claudio Grossman in his work with the United Nations International Law Commission and the United Nations Commission Against Torture.
I spent last summer working as a legal assistant for the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. Prior to law school, I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology, with a Minor in International Relations at the University of British Columbia; a Certificate in Public International Law from the Hague Academy of International Law in the Netherlands; and a Certificate in Implementing the Peace Agenda: Security Dimensions from the United Nations, University for Peace in Costa Rica.
In my free time, you will often find me swimming, traveling (pre-COVID), and hiking with my two dogs, Ember and Phantom.
