Meghna Jain is thrilled to have the opportunity to join McMillan this summer. She is looking forward to working with an immensely talented team of experts and learning from them to hone her legal and professional skills this summer.

Meghna recently completed second year of law school at University of Calgary. In the past year, she served on the University Appeal Board as part of an adjudication panel reviewing appeals in residence to support a fair, representative, and accessible appeal process for residents under the Residence Services Agreement.

She transferred to University of Calgary last year from O.P. Jindal Global University in India to pursue a dual law degree program. During her time in law school in India, she invested 80+ hours in intensive training to achieve certifications in mediation and conflict resolution. She also held the position of Convener of the Research Committee for the Youth Conflict Management and Mediation Initiative, where she helped grow and lead a diverse team of over 20 students. Additionally, she volunteered with a start-up, and held a research assistant and several other legal intern positions.

In her spare time, you’ll find Meghna exploring the city, on a never-ending quest to uncover new restaurants, or in the library stacking up a mountain of books. She also has a soft spot for poetry that touches her heart and horror movies that keep her at the edge of her seat.
