Peter Burn is a counsel in the international trade group.

A former member of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, Peter has an extensive expertise in international affairs and regulation, and provides strategic advice to numerous companies, industry associations and governments on international law matters related to trade, energy, technology, and the environment

As Counsel, tax and trade policy to Canada’s Minister of Finance, Michael Wilson, Peter was intimately involved in the development and realization of the Canada-US Free Trade Agreement, as well as income and consumption tax reform. He also participated in the development of greenfield telecommunications networks in Latin America and Asia.

Later, Peter advised the Department and Minister of the Environment on various climate change initiatives, including bilateral negotiations with the United States.
