Samantha Morden is an associate building a dynamic practice specializing in secured lending and borrowing transactions.  Her broad experience includes complex matters such as syndicated lending, asset-based lending, mezzanine financing, project financing, and cross-border transactions.

With clients engaging in financings in the real estate, long-term care, and retail and manufacturing sectors, she offers tailored solutions to address industry-specific challenges. Samantha has specific interest in complex and multi-jurisdictional transactions, supporting clients across all types of financing matters.



Representative Matters

BMO Capital Markets: Advised the agent on a project-finance style offering of approximately CA$865.2 million aggregate principal amount of fixed-rate senior secured amortizing bonds rated A(low) by DBRS Morningstar in connection with the landmark disposition by Enbridge Inc. of a minority stake in seven major pipelines to Athabasca Indigenous Investments for CA$1.12 billion – the largest Indigenous partnership in the Energy sector in North America to date.
