Yassin Gagnon-Djalo

Yassin is building a broad practice in commercial and civil litigation, including product liability matters, real estate litigation, class actions and competition.

Yassin joined McMillan as a summer student and completed her articles with the Firm. She obtained her law degree with International Distinction at the University of Montréal, having completed summer law programs at the China University of Political Science and Law in 2016 and the Instituto de Tecnologia e Sociedad do Rio in 2017. During her studies, she volunteered at her faculty’s legal aid clinic where she provided counsel to start-ups and wrote a legal guide on personal data protection.

Yassin has been involved in cases before all levels of courts in Québec, including the Court of Québec, the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. Yassin has also been involved in cases before certain administrative tribunals, including the Tribunal Administratif du Québec, Real Estate Section. Yassin has also worked on certain debt recovery and provisional safeguard measures files.
