November 14, 2017

Members of McMillan’s Privacy, Cybersecurity, Data Protection groups will be discussing, for the second year running, how client and in-house counsel can educate their firms on how to navigate through privacy in the workplace, cyber security risks and data protection issues on Tuesday Nov 14, 2017.

These issues impact all firms across various industries in Canada. Speakers will address topics including: how paying in Bitcoins or crypto currencies work; what you should do when a privacy or cybersecurity breach occurs; what employers can and cannot do to monitor employees’ access to sensitive information; and other discussions on due diligence and service level considerations when selecting a cloud provider Canada wide.

This year, we are pleased to announce that Sarah Rogers, Director of Digital Fraud Strategy at RBC will be joining us as our keynote speaker. We also have René Hamel, Director of Forensics and E-Discovery at TELUS Security Solutions and James Grant of Canadian Bitcoins joining our expert panels.

Please join us for an in-depth look and discussion on Privacy, Cybersecurity and Data Protection which are growing areas of concern for businesses, governments and individuals. McMillan is committed to helping our clients understand, reduce and mitigate their risks.
