McMillan LLP acted for MMCAP International Inc. SPC, the holder of 50% of $10 million of secured debentures issued by Pure Global Cannabis Inc.
McMillan acted as counsel to the senior secured lenders, The Bank of Nova Scotia and Roynat Inc., of Kamloops Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram Ltd. in the company’s proceedings under the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act and the subsequent appointment of a receiver of the company by the Lenders under section 243(1) of the BIA.
McMillan acted as counsel to PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. in its capacity as monitor in the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act proceedings of Quest University Canada and, subsequently, as trustee in the related bankruptcy proceedings of Quest Guardian Properties Ltd.

Ltd., Heemskirk Canada Holdings Limited, Heemskirk Canada Limited, Custom Bulk Services Inc. and HCA Mountain Minerals Limited, in connection with their restructuring proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act.
McMillan acted for Alvarez & Marsal Canada Inc. in its capacities as Trustee in Bankruptcy and Receiver of Greenfire Oil and Gas Ltd. and Greenfire Hangingstone Operating Corporation.
McMillan acts as Canadian counsel for the Agent, JPMorgan Chase Bank N.A. and JPMorgan Chase Bank, in connection with the extension by the lending group of debtor-in-possession financing and exit ABL financing to Tailored Brand’s Inc., in connection with its cross-border US Chapter 11 and Canadian recognition proceedings.
McMillan acted for All Js Greenspace LLC (“All Js”) in its capacity as the DIP Lender and stalking-horse bidder in Green Growth Brands Inc.’s (“GGB”) proceedings under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act (the “CCAA”).
