As Associate Director, Professional Resources, Melanie contributes to the professional development of the firm’s legal professionals, together with other national talent management priorities and initiatives. She is also the law school liaison and supports the student recruitment and training programs for the Toronto office.

Melanie has a wide range of professional development and leadership experience gained over two decades. Before joining McMillan LLP, Melanie led the professional development department of a not-for-profit organization supporting lawyers in Ontario. Here, she created two professional development series, which received the Association for Continuing Legal Education (ACLEA) Award of Excellence in 2015 for mental health and in 2021 for career development.

Melanie also has significant experience in private practice with nine years in commercial real estate law in New York City as well as in Toronto.
