Entering my final semester of my B.C.L/LL.B. at McGill University, I am thrilled to be joining McMillan as a summer student.

Throughout law school, I have had the chance to get involved with a number of legal clinics and organizations, such as the International Refugee Assistance Project. At McGill, I volunteered with the Legal Information Clinic, where I was also able to participate in the “Know Your Rights” campaign to help educate students about their rights and obligations. In addition, I have acted as a student advocate, representing students in different disciplinary proceedings with the University. Off-campus, I served as the legal information officer at a non-profit organization supporting Montreal’s anglophone business and start-up community. Throughout my law degree, I have also worked as a research assistant at an immigration law firm in Montreal focusing mainly on refugee and humanitarian applications. I also recently completed an exchange semester in France at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne in the department of private law.

Prior to law school, I graduated summa cum laude from Connecticut College with a B.A. in International Relations and History. I was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honour society, and was awarded the Anita L. DeFrantz '74 Award for leadership, sportsmanship, and athletic ability. While at Conn, I was also a first team All-American water polo player and was selected as the Collegiate Water Polo Association Scholar-Athlete of the Year in my senior year. Outside of class, I interviewed prospective students as an admission’s fellow, worked at an on-campus café, and volunteered at a local immigration support center.

In my spare time, I enjoy traveling to new places, taking photos, drinking coffee, and staying active through a number of sports.
