Andy Kent discusses the growing trend of global consolidation of law firms in the Lexpert article “Law Firm Mergers: The Canadian Rationale.” In his decade as CEO of McMillan, he successfully implemented three all-Canadian mergers that made way for a pan-Canadian firm. He argues that the best way to manage a merger is to find the right partner. “I think every merger required adjustment on all sides, regardless of what the piece of paper says.
