Commercial Real Estate Lawyer Marc Généreux Joins McMillan

McMillan LLP is pleased to announce that Marc Généreux will be joining the firm’s Real Estate Group, effective March 7, 2016.

Marc joins as partner in the Montreal office, where he will be responsible for supporting the development of the commercial real estate law practice.

Marc specializes in acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, investment properties, commercial leasing, and real estate financing, which largely consists of structuring and arranging financings for various commercial, mixed use, multi-residential and condominium projects, and industrial buildings, as well as providing financial institutions such as trust companies, life insurance companies and banks with legal advice respecting loan policies and programs.

Marc’s practice also focuses on real estate and land use development. Within this area, he has assisted clients with acquiring lots and buildings, negotiating agreements, partnerships, and such documents as undivided ownership, management and co-ownership contracts, as well as negotiating with municipalities and other government authorities to obtain zoning permits for planned projects.

Marc comes from an international business law firm, where he served as a partner in the firm’s real estate law group. Marc was called to the Québec Bar in 1982. He received his License in Law degree from the University of Montréal in 1981.
