Fengge Sun is an articling student at McMillan.
At the Faculty of Law, Fengge served as a legal extern with the University of Toronto Entrepreneurship Hatchery, providing services to help students with entrepreneurial dreams to launch their start-ups. She has also volunteered with Amnesty International’s Digital Verification Corps, where she conducted open-source investigations to examine human rights abuse issues.
Fengge holds a JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree from McGill University. She summered with McMillan before returning to the firm as an articling student.
On April 16, the Government of Canada released its 2024 budget which includes the promise of new legislation this spring to implement open banking in Canada.
On October 5, 2023, the Department of Finance launched a public consultation on the statutes governing federally regulated financial institutions.
