On March 25, 2011, The Royal Conservatory of Music and Carnegie Hall announced that they had partnered to create The Carnegie Hall Royal Conservatory Achievement Program.

The program is the first nationally-recognized standard of musical achievement for people independently studying music in the United States. Students and teachers of all ages and levels of expertise are able to participate in The Achievement Program from anywhere in the U.S.A.

The Achievement Program is based on the highly successful examination program that was established over one hundred years ago by The Royal Conservatory of Music.

The Royal Conservatory of Music was represented in Canada by a team from McMillan LLP that included Frank Palmay (team leader), Christopher Garrah (business), Peter Giddens and Sarah Kilpatrick (intellectual property).
