I am thrilled to be completing my articles at McMillan after summering with the firm in 2019. As a summer student, I was given the opportunity to work on various corporate, real estate, financial services, securities and litigation matters. As an articling student, I am building on my prior learning experiences.
I recently obtained my juris doctor from Western University. While at Western, I engaged in a number of extracurricular activities that contributed to both the London and Western communities. I acted as a caseworker for Western’s Legal Services clinic, chaired Western Law’s Student Careers Committee and also acted as an executive member of Western Law’s Health Law Committee. In addition, I gained oral advocacy skills through competitive mooting and negotiation competitions.
Prior to law school, I attained a bachelor of science, honours specialization in psychology, neuroscience and behaviour from McMaster University. Following the completion of my bachelor degree, I worked under the Director of Strategic Partnerships and the Director of Policy and Strategy at Health Quality Ontario. My work in policy led me to pursue my legal studies, with a particular interest in business law. I am excited by the opportunities provided by McMillan.
During my free time I enjoy cooking new recipes, and snowboarding in the winter months, having instructed and competed across Ontario in the past. I am also an avid traveller and have visited over 25 countries, which includes my semester studying in Copenhagen through Western Law’s 2019 fall exchange program.
