On February 2, 2022, Xerox Holdings Corporation (NASDAQ: XRX) (“Xerox”) announced its acquisition of Powerland Computers Limited (“Powerland”), one of Canada’s leading IT service providers.

Xerox is a technology leader focused on the intersection of digital and physical, using automation and next-generation personalization to redefine productivity, drive growth and make the world more secure. Xerox has been buying up a variety of companies in the IT services space in the past couple years to strengthen its IT service offerings in North America. Powerland serves customers across Canada and provides IT solutions and services such as cloud, hybrid cloud, cyber security and end-user computing. The company partners with Microsoft, Veeam, Lenovo and Dell, among others, to offer hardware and software solutions for customers.

McMillan acted for Xerox in connection with this cross-border transaction led by Enda Wong and supported by a national and multidisciplinary team comprising Redha Ait, Catherine Burrogano, Michael Friedman, Paul Boshyk and Joshua Chad.
