Enda Wong Photo

Enda Wong is an experienced business lawyer whose practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, and private equity and venture capital investments. She has recognized expertise in acquisition financing and corporate organizations and structuring.

Practising both common law and civil law, and called to the bar in Ontario and Québec, Enda works on a variety of regional, national and cross-border transactions. She is trusted for advice on the similarities and differences between the two legal systems. Enda has gained significant experience and industry knowledge in the technology and food and beverages sectors.

Acting on behalf of private enterprises, institutional and private equity investors and non-profit organizations, Enda provides counsel on commercial, regulatory and compliance-related issues, including in respect of services agreements, contests filings and compliance with the Charter of the French Language.

Before joining McMillan, Enda worked in the legal department of a large international pharmaceutical company, and volunteered with the McGill Legal Information Clinic and Pro-Bono Students Canada while studying law.

  • Represented Novacap in inter alia its acquisition of Foliot Furniture, its acquisition and subsequent sale of Onstream Pipeline Inspection Services (CVCA’s 2019 Private Equity Deal of the Year for Western Canada), acquisition and subsequent sale of Chemical Computing Group, CVCA’s 2018 Private Equity Deal of the Year for Canada, acquisition and subsequent sale of Firmex, acquisition of Intelerad Medical Systems, acquisition of Fibrenoire, sale of Creaform
  • Represented Live Nation in its strategic partnership with Evenko
  • Represented Corporation Financière BDG in its acquisition of Compass Food Sales Company and Les Industries Cendrex
  • Represented Cision in its acquisition of CEDROM-SNI
  • Represented a US-based private equity firm in its acquisition of an audiobooks company
  • Represented a UK-based public company on its acquisition of a North American distributor of electronic equipment and musical instruments
  • Acted as Canadian counsel to various US-based private equity firms in various acquisitions, divestures and add-on transactions involved in the food, consumer goods, manufacturing and services industries
