Marie-Eve Jean is an associate with McMillan’s Advocacy Group in Ottawa, where she practises commercial and civil litigation, as well as employment law. Fluent in French and English, Marie-Eve also has an intermediate knowledge in Mandarin Chinese having studied the language at the University of New Hampshire.

Having joined McMillan as a summer student, Marie-Eve completed her articles with the firm. While completing the dual civil and common law program at University of Ottawa (Programme de droit canadien), she was a finalist in the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. Marie-Eve also worked as an analyst in alternative dispute resolution with the CRTC and was a research assistant at the Faculty of Law.

During her undergraduate studies, Marie-Eve played hockey in the NCAA Division I at the University of New Hampshire, and served as head goalie coach for the women’s ice hockey team at the University of Ottawa.
